EMK: NTR’s grand comeback on small screen with Ram Charan

Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu is one of the new TV shows in Telugu. Hosted by Jr NTR, the revamped version of Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu went on air, on Sunday. Jr NTR is back on the Television screen after a short break as a host of this reality show. Ram Charan attended as the first celebrity guest on the TV show.

Jr NTR looked stylish and smashing in a ravishing outfit. The sensational star took the hot seat and kicked off the popular reality show.

Both NTR and Ram Charan started the show, talking about the film RRR. “RRR will create a big history,” said Jr NTR. Complimenting NTR, Ram Charan said, “You are the coolest man I’ve ever known in my life and a dearest friend.”

All the celebrities who will play the game in the MEK TV show will be donating their earnings for charity. When asked Ram Charan about his plan to donate the money, the RRR actor said, “It’s a habit for our family to donate a part of our remunerations to Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust. My winnings from Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu will go to the trust and will help the needy people.”

Most of the questions that Ram Charan answered are easy and simple. For one of the questions, Ram Charan shared his relationship with his father. “My father is Acharya for me at home as well,” said Ram Charan. Jr NTR too revealed his thoughts over the same. “Chiranjeevi garu has been an Acharya to me too, and for the entire industry. Watching him from a young age and learning, has brought me to this stage,” said Tarak.

Ram Charan also shared his relationship with Pawan Kalyan, during the game. “He took care of me a lot from when I was a kid. He’s a fatherly figure as well as a brotherly figure to me. Can’t sum up our relationship in words!” said Ram Charan.

Talking about his role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, Ram Charan said, “It started off as a small part but is now almost a full-fledged role. Once all of you see the film, it will become even more memorable and special to me and my family.”

Another major highlight of the first episode is both the actors crooning the ‘Sydney Nagaram’ song from the film Orange.

The actors also shared their experiences of working on the prestigious film RRR.

“We both are really fortunate to have done #RRR and enact such challenging roles. Thank you Jakkanna! He will visually stun us and surprise us always, and exceed all expectations,” shared Ram Charan.

The episode will be continued tomorrow again. Ram Charan is still playing the game and he will be interacting with Rana Daggubati in the next episode.

It’s good to see NTR back on the television screen after a long time. At the same time, there are a few drawbacks in this first episode.

NTR started off the show by giving respect to Ram Charan by addressing him “Ram Charan garu” but he did not maintain it until the end. Instead, NTR could have avoided the same as everyone knew that both the actors are close friends.

A few aspects of the TV show looked forced and unreal. Ram Charan, taking the initiative to complement the dressing style of NTR looks artificial. Also, Ram Charan’s way of explaining the reasons for his answers also looks unreal. Most of the questions are easy and Ram Charan could guess it easily in the first go but he pretended to be thinking and came up with unconvincing reasons which make it look boring.

The conversation, in between, also look forced and it is not natural. Whatever it may be, let us hope that it is not the case when NTR interacts with the common man on the TV show.
