Horror comedy is the most bankable genre and when made on a large scale, the film will appeal to a larger section of audiences. ‘Annabelle Sethupathi’ starring Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee in the lead roles, is going to get an OTT release in five languages simultaneously.
The trailer of ‘Annabelle Sethupathi’ is unveiled by hero Suriya and it gives a mixed opinion on the first viewing. Set in 1948, the visual shows a big palace built by King Veera Sethupathi for his love of life Annabelle. About 8 craftsmen were involved in the construction. Over the course of time, these craftsmen and their families get stuck in the palace as ghosts.
Cut to the scene in 2021, Taapsee along with her family steps into the palace. These ghost craftsmen identify Taapsee as Annaballe and it’s only through her, the ghosts can leave the place.
The visuals are a bit fun but there are forced scenes here and there. Radhika, Rajendra Prasad, Surekha Vani, Yogi Babu and Vennela Kishore are part of the supporting cast while Jagapathi Babu plays the antagonist who eyes the palace.
‘Annabelle Sethupathi’ is directed by Deepak Sundarrajan and the film is getting an OTT release. DisneyPlus HotStar will be streaming the movie from September 17th.
