MAA Elections: Election Officer breaks silence on Allegations

The fight in the Movie Artists Association (MAA) is still continuing, even after the conclusion of the elections and the announcement of results. Prakash Raj’s panel, who lost the polls, alleged that the ballot papers were taken home and the results have been rigged.

Speaking to a Telugu news daily, MAA’s election officer Krishna Mohan said, “There is no truth in the allegations on me taking ballot papers to my home. I only took the keys of the boxes in which the ballot papers were kept.

On Monday, actress Anasuya tweeted that there is a talk going on about the election officer taking ballot paper to his home.

“Ante mari ninna yevaro election rules ki bhinnanga ballot papers ni intiki kuda teeskellarani .. aha ante bayata talku.. nenatledu,” tweeted Anasuya.

Even actor Prabhakar made a similar allegation in the press meet held the other day.

All the Prakash Raj panel members who won the elections have resigned to their posts yesterday and said that they will continue to be MAA members but will not hold their positions. They affirmed that they will fight as an opposition.
