Both State Govts Forgot To Present Film Awards – Chiranjeevi

Earlier, when the state was not bifurcated, the government of Andhra Pradesh used to present Nandi Awards every year for the actors and technicians who have excelled in the field of cinema.

But once the state got bifurcated, these awards are not being distributed regularly. In fact, both the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh stopped presenting these awards for the last few years.

Megastar Chiranjeevi pointed out this issue and requested both the governments to present these awards. Speaking at an award event held recently, Chiru said, “After the state was bifurcated, both the governments have completely forgotten about film awards. At least now, they should announce these awards and present them in grand events.”

“Awards motivate artists a lot. The governments need to encourage artists by presenting these film awards,” he further added.

Responding to Chiru’s comments, Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the state government always encourages artists and strives for the development of the film industry.

He said that the state film awards will be announced and presented soon.
