We Rejected Many OTT Offers: Supriya

Raj Tarun’s out and out entertainer Anubhavinchu Raja is due for release on 26th of this month. Srinivas Gavireddy has directed the movie, while Supriya Yarlagadda produced it.

Supriya says while Annapurna Studios was built by her grandfather ANR, her uncle Nagarjuna developed it as one of the top studios. “Grandpa used to take best care of us, but he used to pamper Sumanth a lot.”

Supriya listens to all the scripts of films under Annapurna Studios. However, she arranges story sittings directly to Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya, if the scripts were meant for them.

“I usually go ahead, only if I like a script. I thoroughly enjoyed and laughed a lot when I heard the story of Anubhavinchu Raja. My gut feeling was that others too will love it.”

Supriya says many would run away, if they were told to sit for six months on this story. “However, Srinu was there to work on the project. We are truly missing our jokes and nativity. We have watched films like April 1 Vidudala, Ladies Tailor. You will get a feel of watching Sr Vamsi’s films.”

The producer lauds comic timing of Raj Tarun. “I could see only Raj Tarun, when I heard the story. He has good comedy timing and there is sarcasm in his acting style as well. I felt he could do full justice to the script.”

Supriya affirms it gives a feel of watching a pure Telugu film. “We rejected many OTT offers, because Anubhavinchu Raja is a film to be watched in theatres.”

She says she has been getting mostly police officer roles which is the reason why she is not accepting to do films. “I’ll definitely do, if I get to do a good role in Goodachari 2.
