Keerthy Suresh’s Look Inspired by Ravi Varma’s Paintings

Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham’ is an ambitious film directed by Priyadarshan. The film is an epic period film based on the life of Kunjali Marakkar IV, who is played by superstar Mohanlal. National award-winning cinematographers Tirru and Sabu Cyril are part of the technical team.

Keerthy Suresh, who is playing the Aarcha character in the film, shared the first character introduction poster a few days ago. Keerthy is making a comeback to Malayalam after a long hiatus, as her last outing in Malayalam was ‘Ring Master’ that got released six years back in 2014.

Today, Keerthy shared a few more pictures from her character and her look is inspired by Raja Ravi Varma’s paintings. We do not need a special introduction about Ravi Varma and his paintings as his role in taking art to the masses (through lithographs) cannot be denied. He gave shape to Indian mythology and our idea of Indian mythological figures are basically what Raja Ravi Varma painted.

And Keerthy looks extremely pretty in the classy look. The actress shared and compared a few pictures along with the original paintings in collage forms. “The looks of Aarcha from #MarakkarArabikadalinteSimham and the inspiration behind it,” she captioned. She also looks regal in traditional clothing and jewels.

The film’s cast includes actors from across the country like Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Manju Warrier, Ashok Selvan, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Prabhu, Mukesh, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Fazil, Siddique, Baburaj, Nedumudi Venu, Hareesh Perady, Nandu, Innocent, Ganesh Kumar and Suresh Kumar. Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment are jointly producing this mega-budget film.
