As Dec 9th is getting closer, cinemagoers are counting down excitedly for magnum opus RRR’s trailer. It is a long-awaited one and fans were supposed to experience the magical trailer on Dec 3. However, the makers have postponed it to the 9th. The period drama featuring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in lead is staunchly believed to witness a record release in almost all major markets across the globe upon its release on January 7.
And the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make the release a unique one to date. The team is aiming to bring the film to almost 999 multiplexes plus in the US. The release size in the US will be the widest ever for an Indian film. The film is also said to have closed a staggering Rs 890 Crore pre-release business. It has created a new record, which might not be touched by any other film in the years to come, and it might take another Rajamouli film to shatter the pre-set records in terms of the business prior to the release.
It would be interesting to see how the film fares at the BO and what the revenues are for the stakeholders, as the figures are astronomical and it’s very essential for the film to have good content to create all-time records. And talking about promotions, along with other ways, even an advertisement of the movie and the US Premieres have been put up at Times Square, New York, recently. It is estimated that nearly 330000 people pass through Times Square daily, which is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, and entertainment centre.
The makers have unveiled multiple assets to date including the teaser, making and posters and are now gearing up for a grand trailer launch event on December 9. The RRR team has also tied up with a leading multiplex chain in India, and multiple campaigns to attract the audience.
