Harnaaz Sandhu Is ‘Miss Universe 2021’. India Wins After 21 Years

India’s Harnaaz Sandhu is adjudged as the Miss Universe 2021. She is the new Miss Universe. Sandhu won the crown at the 70th Miss Universe 2021 held in Eilat, Israel. She has beaten Paraguay’s Nadiya Ferreira and South Africa’s Lalela Mswane. Sandhu was presented the crown by Andrea Meza, former Miss Universe 2020 from Mexico.

After 21 long years of waiting, India has bagged the Miss Universe title. Last time, Lara Dutta won the coveted title in 2000. So far, only two Indians have won the title of Miss Universe – actors Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000. Sandhu is the third Indian to achieve this feat. Sandhu hails from Punjab state.
