Natural Star Nani teamed up with a young filmmaker Srikanth Odela in his debut film Dasara. Billed to be a rural Telangana drama, the film will explore Nani’s negative shade in the film. The film’s shoot is already in progress. Now, an interesting update says that young Malayalam actor Roshan Mathew is on board to play a crucial role in the film.
Roshan Mathew is one of the most promising young actors in South Cinema currently. Roshan will be seen as Nani’s friend in the film and his role reportedly carried a lot of significance. Roshan will also sport a rugged getup like Nani in the film.
Nani is learning the Telangana slang for the film and the motion poster of the film already gave a glimpse of what’s in store for the audience.
Keerthy Suresh is playing the film’s female lead. Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas, the film also features Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar and Zarina Wahab in significant roles. Dasara will have music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by Navin Nooli.
Roshan Mathew made his debut with the 2015-released-Malayalam film Adi Kapyare Kootamani and shot to fame with another film Aanandam. The actor also debuted in Hindi with Moothon and acted in Anurag Kashyap’s Choked. This year, he will also mark his debut in Tamil Cinema.
