Keerthy Suresh’s latest release, Good Luck Sakhi turned out to be a stroke of tough luck for the viewers as the story was not even close to impressing or creating a lasting experience. And her fans are disappointed to realize that Keerthy does not have a blockbuster after Mahanati in Telugu.
Meanwhile, it is common to hear the term ‘iron leg’ which is loosely used for someone who brings bad luck to a film. And earlier, we have heard few stars getting called ‘iron leg’ in a twinkling of an eye. Keerthy Suresh says even she has fallen victim to the painful title. The actresses got blamed when a few films flopped in her initial days.
Keerthy started her acting career with a Malayalam film. And the film was stalled midway due to unknown reasons. Similarly, her next two films were also abruptly suspended due to inside issues. Soon after, Keerthy was branded as ‘iron leg’. She says initially such comments used to hurt her. But today, her hard work and perseverance helped her achieve unimaginable success.
During Mahanati, she was called Golden Leg as a contrary. But, the actress couldn’t escape from the clutches of flops thereafter with films such as Miss India, clumsy write-up Penguin, and Rang Re. Now that Good Luck Sakhi did not impress the audience, the fear continues if people will once again brand her as an ‘iron leg’.
However, giving actors such names simply means that all their hard work and passion is ignored. Hope with the next lineup of films – Sarkaru Vari Paata, Dasara, and Bhola Shankar, Keerthy will soon get rid of this unwarranted image.
