‘Telugu Films Have Shown Us A Way In Pandemic’

Irrespective of language and region, the Telugu cinemas have started bringing joy and excitement to people across the nation more than ever. Of late, even for North Indians, the Tollywood movies have become an integral part of their lives. Right from Bahubali, Pushpa, RRR to Bheemla Nayak and Radhe Shyam, every Indian is impressed with Telugu films, for various factors that include art-orientation, risk, creativity, and VFX technology used.

Meanwhile, actor Suriya, who was in Hyderabad yesterday for the promotions of his upcoming film Etharkkum Thunindhavan, praised how Telugu films have advanced in recent times. The actor, who himself has some amazing films in his kitty, went on to congratulate Telugu films for being brave during the pandemic. He praised the directors of TFI for producing hit films like Akhanda, Pushpa, and Bheemla Nayak and watching them in theatres by celebrating the cinemas.

“The way you celebrate Telugu films, even we, other industries, get confidence to make and release films,” Suriya said. He also stated that Telugu films have actually shown a way for the entire Indian cinemas to come to theatres during the grave pandemic. He further said his inspiration is Megastar Chiranjeevi. “Chiru’s blood bank has initially motivated me to start my NGO. Since Chiru sir changed lakhs of mindsets, I have also decided to bring a change of at least 2 per cent in it. I was able to do this because you gave me the power and strength,” the actor said.

He also advised fans in the event to make a change and come out of their comfort zone. Suriya later thanked Telugu audiences for giving immeasurable love to his Pandemic released films, Aakasam Nee Haddura and Jai Bhim. ”These states, Andhra and Telangana, have always been special. Your love is unparalleled and I am surprised to see so much love every single time,” he concluded. Directed by Pandiraj, Suriya’s ET is an action thriller and will release on 10th March.
