Pan -India star Prabhas starrer Adipurush is a mythological drama, helmed by Om Raut. The film has been piquing the audience’s curiosity ever since its announcement. The film stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Sunny Singh. And there is a new addition to the film’s cast.
NBK’s films Legend, Ruler, and Dictator fame Sonal Chauhan has officially joined the team Adipurush. In her recent interaction with a news portal, Sonal revealed, “Yes, I’m a part of Adipurush and I’m excited about it. It’s very different from the kind of work I’ve done so far. I am sure the audience will enjoy the magnum opus.”
As per sources, Sonal would essay an important character in this retelling of the famous verse of Ramayana. Backed by T-Series Films and Retrophiles, the film is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Prabhas will essay the role of Raghava in Adipurush, while Kriti Sanon will play Janaki. The character of Lankesh will be portrayed by Saif Ali Khan.
This movie is slated to be out in theatres on January 12, 2023. The project is in the post-production stage at present. Meanwhile, Prabhas will next play the protagonist in Prashanth Neel’s action drama Salaar. The film will also have Shruti Haasan as the female lead.
