Kangana Adds Sanskrit To Sudeep-Ajay Devgn Debate

The language war between Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn and Kannada actor Sudeep has been ruling the headlines for the last couple of days. It all started when Sudeep said that Hindi is no more the national language of India.

Irked by his statement, Ajay Devgn tweeted back in Hindi saying that Hindi was, is, and will remain the national language of our country. Later, Sudeep said that his statement was misinterpreted in the wrong way.

Meanwhile, Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut was asked about this controversy in a recent press meet. The Queen actress said that instead of Hindi, Sanskrit should be made the national language of the country. “Various languages in the world have roots in Sanskrit. Thus, it should be made the official language and taught in schools. I don’t know why it isn’t happening,” said Kangana.

Meanwhile, she also asserted that our constitution says that Hindi is the national language, and if we deny it, we are disrespecting our constitution.

“Today, in our country, we are mostly using English as the communicating language in various states. Should that be English, Hindi, Sanskrit, or Tamil? Our government should make a decision about the same,” stated Kangana.

She said that Ajay Devgn and Sudeep are correct in their own ways. She stated that Ajay is correct in saying that Hindi is our national language. She also added Sudeep is also right in respecting his mother tongue. Meanwhile, Sudeep also got political support from Karnataka’s Chief Minister Basaraj Bommai and former Chief Minister Siddiramaiah, saying that everyone has a right to speak in their mother tongue and no one can deny it by imposing Hindi as the national language.
