Tom Cruise’s Epic Entry By Helicopter To Premiere

It’s a massive treat for Tom Cruise admirers as the Hollywood actor took the stage at the ”Top Gun: Maverick” world premiere on Wednesday after three years of delays, and nearly 36 years post 1986’s original “Top Gun” film blasted into theatres. The actor introduced his long-awaited jet-fueled sequel on Wednesday.

His catchy one-liners “Does anyone want to see a movie in a movie theatre? Let’s do it!” and “Let’s light the fires and kick the tires” left a humongous crowd awe-struck at Naval Air Station North Island’s Lowry Theater. He arrived at his red carpet by helicopter aboard the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier.

After finally agreeing to return to the role of hotshot pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell ( a character that made Cruise an international superstar three decades ago), the sequel has overcome production and COVID-19 delays to open in theatres on May 27. His return to the film and his epic entry on the red carpet was worth looking forward to the classic film.

The actor looked suave as always as he walked the red carpet in a black tuxedo and later posed alongside his film co-stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly and more. “It’s been 36 years, on and off, thinking and dreaming about this. And I had to push this movie off during the pandemic, and call everyone. Because I wanted this movie to appear in theaters and on the big screen. I’m happy for the cast and for audiences to finally be able to see this in the format that it was always intended for,” quoted Cruise.
