Business deals of many big films are closing well in advance these days. If not for the theatrical sales, the OTT sales of big-ticket movies are happening much before the film actually completed its shooting.
And right now, we are hearing that Akhil’s upcoming film “Agent”, which is being directed by the talented Surender Reddy, actually signed one such deal.
Though Surender Reddy’s previous film “Sye Raa” hasn’t done great at the box office, the filmmaker stole the credits for making such a grand scale movie with a senior superstar like Chiranjeevi, and the way he executed certain sequences.
Gathering all his key strengths together again, Surender Reddy is now carving Agent with Akhil, where the struggling hero will be seen in the role of a spy. Reports are now coming that Amazon Prime Video has signed a mind-blowing deal with the makers of this film.
They say that the film fetched almost ₹ 80 crores deal from Amazon Prime to own the OTT streaming rights of all the five languages it will be released in, and the producer is also ready for an early screening of the movie even if it is a blockbuster.
That’s more like within 30 days of release, the film will be hitting the OTT platform. They say that this has recovered almost all the budget invested in the movie.
Currently Akhil and Surender Reddy are shooting action sequences in the snow-covered locations of Manali. Newcomer Sakshi Vaidya will debut as a heroine with this movie.
