Some music directors like maestro Thaman always create huge expectations regarding a film and if they fail to meet the confidence of the audience, surely they are going to face brickbats. A similar thing happened now with the Telugu fans of composer Sam CS who is expected to deliver something top-notch.
The name Sam CS immediately reminds us of films like Vikram Vedha and Karthi’s Khaidi whose thumping background scores always find a place on the playlists of most music lovers. While he’s known for rocking a scene with this elevating score, his work on Raviteja’s “Ramarao On Duty” is quite pathetic if we have to say. Somehow the composer failed to give a soul like feel to the film though a couple of songs are quite melodious to hear.
In recent times, Sam CS has given a terrific elevation to Amazon Prime’s “Suzhal” web series as well with his mighty work. But that mark is completely missing in “Ramarao On Duty” though the director of the film has promised a stunning treat from the composer. Many are right now blaming the director for not being able to extract a good output from such a talented and award-winning composer.
