Liger Censor: Muted Words And Blurred Fingers

Puri Jagannath’s movie is expected to have a lot of curse words and double entendres. Liger also had them, but the censor board seems to have toned the intensity multiple times down. The movie is given a rating U/A – Unrestricted Public exhibition but with parental guidance.

The censor insertions, modifications, and excisions for the Liger movie are revealed now. The report has Liger’s title changed to the full title ‘Liger Saala Crossbreed’ with the applied running time of 140.20 minutes.

Other Insertions include the quote in beginning with its Hindi translation, ‘Now I’m more able to feel that if people have a problem with my stammer, that problem is theirs and not mine. – David Mitchelle (British novelist).

The dialogue ‘Wo teri chaatata hai ya tu iski chaatega’ to be replaced by ‘legend tera chamcha hai ya tu uska chamcha hai’. The word ‘Cycle thoko’ will be muted. Also, the frequency of the ‘F-word’ was reduced by at least 50 percent, and also muted the word ‘F**king’, and ‘Mother F**ker’ wherever they are used. The censor also muted the words ‘Kutiya’ and ‘Ke Lav**.

The censor board blurred the middle finger gesture and also removed the vulgar hand gesture.

It looks like Liger has a lot of cursing and it has to be seen how it connects to the audience.
