Parking Fees Is Back, Get Ready To Pay!

In the recent past, there has been a lot of debate and discussion happening about the collection of vehicle parking fee at the single screen theatres across Hyderabad. This hit the pinnacle point after the Telangana High Court recently ordered single screens not to collect parking fee from the public, in view of a recent petition filed by an advocate.

And now we are witnessing a twist in the story again as the Telangana High Court has issued a new judgement today.

Senior advocate and producer, Niranjan Reddy appeared at the Telangana High Court today on behalf of single screen owners. His counsel argued that the earlier order against the collection of parking fee was made based on only one side of the argument and theatre owners were not allowed to present their case.

Following this argument, the High Court issued a new order saying the earlier petition against parking fee was filed regarding one single theatre and hence, the “no parking fee” will be applicable to only that particular theatre.

The rest of the single screen theatres across the state can now collect vehicle parking fees effective immediately. Only the Asian Konark theatre that had a petition file against it earlier cannot collect the fee. Other single screens can readily collect the fees now and this is a big judgement a day before the release of Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Dhurandhar 2.
