MMA Is More Violent Sport Than Boxing: Vijay D

Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as an MMA fighter in director Puri Jagannadh’s Pan India film Liger. It’s indeed the first Indian movie on the sport. Many still are of the opinion that Vijay has played a boxer in the movie. The actor built a perfect body with 6 pack abs for the character and it’s a tough task for him to maintain the same body during the covid.

Vijay affirms MMA is more violent sport than boxing. “A fighter needs to knockout the opponent in MMA, to win the game. There is counting system in boxing. But in MMA, they will fight until the opponent is down. It is physically and mentally an intense sport. Fighters in MMA are the most elite athletes in the world.”

Liger which is one of the most awaited and craziest movies is carrying huge among all section of audience. The same is witnessed in the advance bookings of the movie.

Ananya Pandey played the leading lady opposite Vijay in the movie that marks the Indian screen debut of legend Mike Tyson.
