Viral: A Satire On Sid Sriram’s Pronunciation

Singer Sid Sriram is so popular now that even a small-budgeted movie is spending huge to have at least one song from him in the movie. In fact, that song is becoming a selling point for those films. And needless to say, a Sid Sriram song from a big movie is expected to become a chartbuster and it often does. But his songs are making a set of music lovers uncomfortable and it is genuine. The pain caused by his wrong pronunciation is real.

When ‘Samajavaragama’ came out, it was immensely liked by all and we all know how big a hit it was. Yet, it has its flaws in the form of lyrical pronunciation, thanks to Sid Sriram. There were so many words in the song that were not pronounced right. And there are many other songs that are making the Telugu lovers irked by his pronunciation.

Now, a video on social media is going viral for its facts and of course satire on Sid Sriram’s ‘Uchhaarana’. The man in the video wonders why the top league lyricists of Telugu songs could not correct him while he was singing blunders. He mentions a few and asks the lyricist to avoid making him sing those words. The video made sense to a lot of folks who love to hear the lyrics in the correct way.

It is not the first time, Sid Sriram getting trolled for his pronunciation. He was trolled so hard when Shreya Ghosal sang ‘Samajavaragamana’ with the correct pronunciation. Though the video was made in a satirical tone, it is high time that our Telugu lyricists and music composers need to correct the singers towards correct pronunciation.
