Tollywood Heroes Not Leaving KGF Trance

If one faction film scored a hit, back then, almost a dozen faction movies came. That’s how almost all the star heroes in the Telugu industry of that time have done a faction movie each. And now, it looks like most of the heroes are getting infatuated by KGF themed action movies, and one by one, they are all doing similar stuff.

After the arrival of KGF, many wanted to do similar rugged movies, but KGF itself is a new derivate of the Hollywood film “John Wick” sans the glossy action part. And then, we have the likes of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and a couple of movies in Bollywood trying to emulate the same, but only Vikram did the honours well. And right now in Tollywood, these high-octane blood stories are being told by Akhil’s Agent and Nagarjuna’s The Ghost too. Even the surreal comedy Happy Birthday looked like a low-level attempt at John Wick like an action film. Joining the list is none other than Sudheer Babu’s new film, whose announcement poster says it all about them.

One wonders why hero after hero is trying to get hold of these crazy weapons and ammunition into his hands and turn out like a Yash from KGF. Most of the time, films that emulate a similar theme they tend to lose grip at the box office as the audience will be bored to watch such content back to back.
