‘Routine Friday’ Teaches Another Lesson To Tollywood

After the super success of Bimbisaara, Sitaramam, and Karthikeya 2 at the box office, some superstars like Chiranjeevi have been telling all the directors and producers to focus on the content of the movie rather than just promotions. No matter how creative and aggressive one’s promotions are, surely if the content is weak, then the result will be an atom bomb only.

This Friday (Sep 2nd) marked the release of two movies, Vaishnav Tej’s Ranga Ranga Vaibhavamga and Anudeep’s writing venture ‘First Day First Show’ released in theatres.

While Vaishnav’s film directed by Gireeshayya is a routine drama, Anudeep wrote an outright silly film that is marred with bad direction and poor lead actors. Once again these two films proved that routine and silly plots don’t work at the box office and don’t impress the audience in any way.

Being a young hero who catches content that is being delivered globally by top-notch OTT platforms, one wonders how Vaishnav Tej picked up such a lame movie. On the other hand, Anudeep should understand the fact that silly comedies are good once in a blue moon but the audience won’t be liking it all the time that too when there is no story arc and proper screenplay.
