Actor Sonu Sood who is being hailed as the ‘Icon of humility’ for his generosity towards migrant labourers and other poor people in need has exhibited his benevolence yet again.
The actor announced that he had made travel arrangements for 39 children from Philippines to New Delhi, for their liver transplant surgery. The flight hired by Sonu Sood is expected to reach New Delhi in a couple of days.
The actor, who grabbed people’s attention, by extending a helping hand to the migrants during lockdown imposed to check the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, will be flying the 39 Filipino kids, aged between 1 and 5 years, to the national capital for medical treatment.
According to a press release, several underprivileged Filipino children suffering from a liver disease, called biliary atresia, could not travel to Delhi to get the life-saving surgery done due to Covid-19. There is an urgent need for the children to get operated.
The actor is doing his bit to make the surgeries possible as a few of them had already died due to the liver disease.
“Let’s save these precious lives. Will get them to India in the next two days. Lining up for these 39 angels. Pack their bags,” tweeted the 47-year-old actor.
