Corona: SP Balasubramanyam In ICU, Condition Critical

Legendary singer SP Balasubramanyam’s health condition has worsened. He has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit of the MGM hospital, the hospital where he is being treated since Aug 5.

According to a health bulletin released by the hospital, Balasubramanyam’s health deteriorated and saw a sudden setback last night (Aug 13). The bulletin added that he has been moved to the ICU and he is put on a life support.

Doctors confirmed that his health condition is critical. This sudden development of SP Balasubramanyam’s health deteriorating came as a big shock to lakhs of his followers and fans.

Earlier, SPB released a video stating that he was tested positive for Covid. He said nothing to be worried about and he is doing well and healthy.

He said upon the requests of his family members, he admitted himself in the MGM hospital and stated that he would be discharged in a couple of days. But it’s been a week, SPB wasn’t discharged raising concerns. Meanwhile, his health getting worsened is a shocker to many.

74-year-old veteran singer hails from Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh. He has sung over 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages. He is predominantly sung in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam languages.

Ironically, SP Balasubramanyam had worked with lyricist Vairamuthu on a song to bring awareness on Coronavirus. He had asked everyone to stay safe and stay indoors during the pandemic. Unfortunately, he contracted the virus.

SPB’s fans, followers and music lovers are all paying for his fast and full recovery. Let’s hope he will be back to normalcy soon.
