Grand Finale Episode: “The Rings Of Power” Just Amazes

One of the first ever biggest hits of Amazon Prime Video in recent times in terms of epic web series is none other than “Rings Of Power” which is a prequel of “The Lord of The Rings” stories that have come out as films long back. And the Finale episode (8th episode) of the first season was out another day, and it is terrific if we have to say.

For folks who are well versed with The Lord of The Rings setup, the story is all about different types of human beings including Elves, Dwarves, Harfoots, and Mortals fighting against one common enemy, the demonic Sauron. The whole first season is about finding out whether Sauron is alive or not. And the last episode of S01 gave a major twist by revealing that the Stranger (an old man who falls from the sky) is none but Lord Sauron but gave another twist that he’s actually a Wizard. Then came the mega twist.

“The Rings of Power” has multiple leads but Lady Galadriel, the commander of the Elves, is the main lead. And she takes the injured Halbrand, King of the Southlands, to Elvish capital Eregon upon which she founds that he’s not the one he is claiming to be. She unveils that he is none other than the dark lord Sauron who asks her to give hand and reign as a queen next to him in the days to come as they rule middle-earth. These two twists about the identities of Halbrand and Stranger have stunned everyone big time, and the top-notch visual effects even in a small scene have amazed all.

While the general audience liked the finale episode for the kinds of twists they have offered, the critics who are fans of JRR Tolkien’s The Lord Of The Rings haven’t really liked it. They say that the series is completely messy and the makers focused only on awe-inducing factors but haven’t really amazed with their storytelling abilities. Well, everyone is entitled to have an opinion.
