VSR Controversy: Balakrishna Conveys Apology

Nandamuri Balakrishna landed up in a controversy for his alleged derogatory statements against a particular caste. He faced the wrath of that community for his statements. Immediately, he had to release a press statement, explaining the reason behind his comments.

If we get into the story, Balayya made controversial statements about Deva Brahmin caste in one of the promotional interviews of his recent film Veera Simha Reddy. He said that Devala Maharshi is the guru of Deva Brahmins and termed Ravana Brahma as their leader.

These statements didn’t go well with those caste members. They lashed out at Balayya for his incorrect words about their caste. Immediately, he released a press note this morning and apologized to the members of the Deva Brahmin community.

He thanked Deva Brahmin community leaders for correcting him about the caste’s history. He said that he didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s sentiments and apologized for his statement. He hoped that the community members will accept his apology.

On the flip side, Balayya’s Veera Simha Reddy was released last Thursday and is having a good run at the box office.
