Remake Of Pak Song Upsets Bollywood Audience

The popular production house and audio company, T-Series, is known for acquiring rights to various international hit songs and then dubs them into Hindi with new voices, lyrics and some altered sound as well. Earlier they got the Srilankan song Manike Mana Hithe into Bollywood in a similar fashion. And now comes this epic blockbuster too.

“Pasoori”, which was created by popular Pakistani singers Ali Sethi and Shae Gill, is a superhit song that clocked nearly 600 million views on YouTube alone and continues to be in the Top 10 chartbusters even today. This song was acquired by T-series and now it is part of Karthik Aryan and Kiara Advani’s new movie “Satyaprem Ki Katha”. Other day, the fully revamped new version which now has the lines sung by Arjith Singh got released. Guess what, even the mellifluous voice of this Indian singer failed to outshine the original.

Neither the visual treat of the makers, nor the glamorous looks of Karthik and Kiara, nor the magical voice of Arjit Singh failed to click, as more Bollywood audiences got upset that the makers of the movie have certainly spoiled the Pakistani song with their unwanted creation. But then some say that the Pak singers have sold their song, so Indian counterparts will surely recreate it in a way they like.
