Amidst high anticipation, the pan-India thriller “SPY,” starring Nikhil, was released yesterday on a grand scale. Directed by Garry BH, the film exceeded expectations by achieving a record-breaking collection at the box office on its opening day. The makers announced that “SPY” grossed Rs 11.7 crore worldwide on its first day.

Nikhil Siddharth took to his Twitter profile to share the film’s collections with a picture. This remarkable opening day collection marks the highest-ever for Nikhil, showcasing the actor’s strong box office appeal. The film opened big in the USA as well.

In both the regional market as well as overseas, the film had the biggest opening. Following the Pan India success of his previous film “Karthikeya 2,” Nikhil and the team had recently extensively promoted “SPY”.

However, the film opened to mixed reviews from one and all. The movie witnessed packed theaters in many centers, and the long weekend ahead is expected to further benefit its successful run.

Garry BH is the director of the movie. The film is produced by ED Entertainments.
