Movie Joins ₹400 Cr Club, But Negativity Hits Hard

After the hype that went up for the initial three days and the trolls as well as criticism from the majority of the society for portraying Ramayana most negligently and arrogantly, Prabhas ‘Adipurush’ lost all the steam. If it has been any other movie, the way people would be talking about it now will be something else.

This Friday, Adipurush completed a two weeks run at the box office and the film managed to surpass the mighty ₹400 crores ‘gross’ mark at the global box office. Usually, producers and film trade analysts talk big when a film enters the ₹400 crore club, but for all the kind of negativity as well as real feedback the film faced from the audience, this achievement is turning out to be nothing. While buyers will be losing huge chunks of investment for sure, neither fans nor the producers or any other parties related to the film are happy right now.

Well, it was expected that Adipurush will touch the mighty ₹1000 crores club quite easily and expected to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan collections for sure. However, the journey of Prabhas and his mighty force got stopped abruptly as the audience felt that the way director Om Raut modernised, took liberties and portrayed various mythical as well as historical figures in the film is highly unacceptable.
