Nag Ashwin taking a serious note of feedback!

Prabhas’ tentpole film Project K was renamed ‘Kalki 2898AD’ and the first glimpse was unveiled during the Comic-con event in the USA a couple of weeks back. The brief teaser gave a sneak peek into the science fiction extravaganza with out-of-the-world visuals and larger-than-life characters. Director Nag Ashwin stunned everyone with his vision and the way he blended mythology and fiction with a dystopian set-up came as a big surprise.

No doubt, the glimpse received a thumping response from all quarters. Though the first-look poster of Prabhas drew negative feedback with embarrassing remarks because of the bizarre design, the glimpse turned the tables due to its spectacular and well-crafted visuals. Prabhas fans are thrilled with the way Nag Ashwin met the high expectations with his cut. However, this doesn’t make him complacent.

It is a known fact that Prabhas’ mythological behemoth Adipurush was trolled for its tacky VFX effects and scattershot graphics in many key episodes. The substandard work by the VFX team turned out to be one of the biggest setbacks for the film. After the teaser launch, there was a huge backlash against Om Raut and his team due to the disappointing visuals. So, they postponed the movie to come up with a better output. However, they failed to meet the expectations.

Now, Nag Ashwin is busy scouring the reviews for the first glimpse of Kalki 2898AD. He returned to India and immediately sat down in his office to check the feedback for the visuals in the glimpse. As the film is still in the production stage, the Mahanati director is planning to enhance the visuals by taking the reviews on a serious note. He will soon have a brainstorming session with his core team to take their feedback as well.

Kalki 2898AD boasts an ensemble cast. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan in significant roles. It is slated for release in 2024.
