The controversial and personal comments of TDP Bandaru Satyanarayana against YCP Minister-Actor Roja have got him arrested. Roja responded to the comments and strongly condemned the mindset of men like Bandaru Satyanarayana who made these character attacks and name-calling her.
The other day, senior actress Radhika Sarath Kumar came out condemning the statements of the TDP leader and his vicious comments about women in public life about her character. Another actress Khushbu Sundar came out condemning the misogynistic mindset of Bandaru and demanded a public apology.
Kushbu stated that she has come in support of Roja not just because she is a friend, but as a woman she will fight for her until he issues a public apology. Joining in support of Roja, another senior Ramya Krishnan today castigated Bandaru’s inappropriate comments on Roja. She urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take appropriate action against the man.
With senior women actors coming in support for Roja against the ‘character assassinating’ comments, the TDP supporters are countering them by asking where all these ‘women’ supporters went when similar insulting and derogatory comments were made against Chandrababu Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari and other family members.
Many the TDP supporters on social media are alleging that this increasing support for Roja with one video each day is a political ploy and is being motivated by Roja herself through personal phone calls. They are calling it nothing but a political game and definitely not women standing up for another woman.
Bandaru was arrested and granted bail in remarks against the Roja case.
