‘Mangalavaaram’: ‘Appadappada Thaandra’ is about dirty secrets!

Director Ajay Bhupathi of ‘RX 100’ fame is coming up with a raw and rustic action thriller titled ‘Mangalavaaram’. The film will be released in theatres on November 17 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Producers Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma of Mudhra Media Works and Ajay Bhupathi of A Creative Works today unveiled an entertaining song from the promising movie.

‘Appadappada Thaandra’, a funny term popularized by Telugu cinema comedies, is the title of the playful song featuring ‘Pelli Choopulu’ director Tharun Bhascker as the narrator of the village’s dirty secrets about clandestine affairs and extra-marital escapades.

‘Naatu Naatu’ fame Rahul Sipligunj’s voice aptly reflects the mischievous aura of the B Ajaneesh Loknath-composed number. Choreographed by Bhanu, this one is shot in the narrow lanes of the hamlet in which the story unfolds.

Earlier, a romantic song titled ‘Emayyindho Emito’ and a ‘Jathara’ song titled ‘Ganagana Mogalira’ were released. Payal Rajput plays the lead protagonist in this film, whose trailer has been successfully embraced by the audience.

Sritej, Chaitanya Krishna, Nandita Swetha, Laxman and Ajay Ghosh have pivotal parts in the film. There are a total of 30 characters in this village-based action thriller. With Dasarathi Shivendra as the director of photography, the film is edited by Madhav Kumar Gullapally. Art direction and production design are by Mohan Talluri and Raghu Kulkarni, respectively. Real Satish and Prithvi are the fight masters. Raja Krishnan, a recipient of the National Award, is its sound designer.
