In the episode, Karan Johar hinted that they both have a common ex-boyfriend Kartik Aryan and they did not deny it.
When asked about how it feels like to be ‘friends’ with ex-boyfriend, Sara Ali Khan openly discussed that it won’t be easy. But this public discussion about ex-boyfriend on a popular talk show seems to have upset Kartik Aryan.
Kartik Aryan in a brief talk with Film Companion, said, ‘Ek cheez mujhe lagti hai – relationship agar do logo ki hai toh dusre insaan ko bhi woh baatein nehi karni chahiye. Hum sab ko apni relationship ki respect karni chahiye (One thing I believe in is that if a relationship is between two people, the other person should not talk about it. He also said ‘I expect the same from my partner. It’s not good for someone to speak about the relationship. When you are with someone, you don’t imagine it to be like that. You don’t imagine that it will end. When you talk about it, it’s not like the other person is only thinking about one person, they are thinking about both.’
Well, the indirect statement of Kartik Aryan is believed to be for Sara Ali Khan about her recent talk on Karan’s talk show. But it seems to have not bothered Sara Ali Khan who wished him a happy birthday yesterday with an old picture from ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’.
