Public Talk: What Made Trivikram Go Oora Mass?

The usage of the lines ‘Kurchi Madathapetti’ has undergone a huge foul cry from the public as people didn’t expect that in a Superstar Mahesh Babu song. But then, after the song got released, it won applause for its oora mass appeal and Mahesh-Sreeleela chemistry with their massy dance moves. However, a question remains to be answered.

Of course, some folks are blaming lyric writer Ramjogayya Sastry for the ‘Kurchi Madathapetti’ lines, and some are supporting him, saying that director Trivikram and composer Thaman have taken that call. Even if we look at other lines of the song that read “Rajahmundry Raga Manjari” or the ones that say, “Ee thoneega nadumulona thootaletti.. Thupaki pelchinaave thingari chitti”, are objected by fans, as they felt that they are sub-standard to that of Mahesh Babu range.

On that note, many are questioning why Trivikram chose to go for such an outrageous mass song that is filled with lots of double-entendre lyrics. Usually, his songs are filled with poetic lines and ones that speak ideology, romance and positive vibes. But for the first time, the director opted for lines that have a bit of ‘boothu’ overdose to them, and many are wondering what made him go ‘oora mass’ like this.
