The global pandemic had a big effect on the film industry worldwide. While the Telugu film industry is getting back to shooting slowly, the active Telugu film producers guild has come to a decision to cut down the remunerations of all artists and technicians. The pay-cut is based on the pre-covid-remuneration rates.
In an official update from the Telugu producers guild, the Movie Artistes Association and Producers guild have agreed that a 20 percent reduction on remuneration for artists who charge more than 20,000 rupees a day and technicians who charge more than 5 lakh rupees a film, based on pre-lockdown-rates.
The producers guild also mentioned the existing challenges like the uncertainty of theater occupancy, zero foreign theatrical market, decrease in revenue realization, and others that forced them to take the decision on pay-cut.
