Kurchini Madatha Petti: Mahesh Puts A Full Stop!

Superstar Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas joined hands for the prestigious project ‘Guntur Kaaram.’ The film comes from the duo that delivered timeless cult classic films Athadu and Khaleja. When an actor like Mahesh Babu, who enjoys a clean family image, comes forward with a highly respected filmmaker, Trivikram, the expectations are double than usual. But, the duo almost disappointed some of their fans regarding the song ‘Kurchini Madatha Petti.’

The fact is that the song’s name and the hook line have been taken from a viral cuss word used by an old man in a YouTube interview. No one is denying it, but when the song was released, people reacted strongly, wondering about its inclusion in a film that has Trivikram and Mahesh Babu on the posters.

Thaman scored the music for the film, and multiple unconfirmed media reports surfaced that he even paid the old man a certain amount for using his voice in the song. The common perception was that Thaman had come up with the idea to make the song. During the pre-release event, everyone thought that the music director would address this aspect, but Mahesh Babu came out of the syllabus.

During his speech, Mahesh Babu declared that the idea to use/make the song has come from him and Trivikram but not Thaman. “Had it been any other music director, they would have called for many discussions before concluding to even make it. But, Thaman had obliged to our request immediately and made the song. I thank him for the same,” said Mahesh Babu, confirming that he and the director pitched the idea.

The revelation from Mahesh Babu almost made the already unhappy fans go silent. Whatever it may be, everyone from the film unit spoke highly about the song and the way Mahesh shook his leg with Sreeleela.

The song would be a visual feast in theatres for the fans who want to witness Mahesh dancing to his best.
