Gone are the days of boasting about your favorite hero’s movie full run in theaters based on a number of days. The era has come where the records and keyboard wars begin with a teaser, glimpse, and trailer views in the span of the first 24 hours.
The views registered in the first 24 hours are hitting new highs with each star hero’s film. To start with the most recent film Devara of NTR, the glimpse garnered a record high of 26.17 million views beating all the existing records in South films.
Guntur Kaaram’s Glimpse is next to Devara, with 20.98 million views, and Pushpa 2 in third place with 20.45 million views. Liger has 15.92 million views, UBS has 15.77 million views, The OG has 14.49 million views, Kalki 2808 AD with 11.94 views and Bheemla Nayak has 8.49 million views in the top 8.
While Devara shows its dominance in glimpse views, Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram trailer went ahead to beat the Dinosaur Salaar’s trailer in views to stay on top. Mahesh’s Guntur Kaaram trailer clocked 37.65 million views in 24 hours keeping Salaaar more than 5 million away from it. Salaar registered 32.5 million views for its trailer.
In comparison to other South films, Vijay’s LEO and Beast managed to grab the third and fourth places with 31.9 million views and 29.1 million views respectively. Mahesh’s Sarkaaru Vaari paata grabbed 5th spot with 26.7 million views and Prabhas Radhe Shyam stays at 6th place with 23.6 million views.
Well, there are much more anticipated films coming up and it has to be seen how these records will be beaten (or not?)
