Trivikram Uses My Original Personality -Mahesh Babu

Mahesh Babu’s Sankranti release, “Guntur Kaaram,” was released on Sankranthi eve and faced mixed talk while it is appreciated for the hero’s distinctive slang and nuanced characterization. In an interview other day, Mahesh Babu himself revealed the efforts and personal connection that contributed to the exceptional output.

Mahesh Babu expressed, “For the slang, and character, all credit goes to director Trivikram garu. From the beginning, we aimed for the Guntur slang. What people don’t know is that in my childhood, I used to converse with my mom and grandmother in the same slang. It helped me a lot during shooting, and we slightly modified it in the movie. That’s why the output in the movie doesn’t look like I am trying to do the slang; it came naturally.”

Known for his critical self-evaluation, Mahesh Babu shared, “I am a very big critic of myself. I scrutinized my performance to the core, but this character and slang impressed me while watching myself on the big screen. And it happens only in Trivikram movies; maybe he uses my original personality in the characters.”

Discussing his talent for imitating people, Mahesh Babu credited his earlier movie, “Khaleja,” as the starting point. He emphasized that such intricate characterizations wouldn’t happen with any other director but Trivikram. Mahesh Babu reflected, “Director Trivikram and I had magic from the beginning; it happens always with him, and it impressed the audience. I am happy that they liked and enjoyed the movie. At the end of the day, that is what matters.”
