As the political heat is picking up in Andhra Pradesh, multiple films surrounding the state’s political scenario are being made. One of the controversial films in this context is Rajadhani Files, which talks about the developments on the Amaravathi Capital Issue. Since the film was not in the favour of the current ruling party of the state, the party leaders sought to halt the film’s release yesterday. But in no time, the court gave clearance again for the film’s release.
A petition filed by YCP leader Lella Appireddy sought to halt the film’s release, prompting the High Court bench to issue a temporary stay order. Consequently, the scheduled release of the film has been postponed. In many areas yesterday, the film’s release was halted midway while the screenings were in progress.
But finally, AP High Court granted permission to screen the film from today across the state. The film delves into the five-year struggle of rural farmers against the YSP government’s proposal for three capitals, particularly focusing on the Amaravati region.
The filmmakers’ legal counsel argued that the Censor Board had already addressed concerns by removing certain scenes from the movie, with the review committee subsequently reissuing the certificate. The final decision is out now and we have to see how the ruling party will react to it.
