What Is Tillu’s BO Target?

The summer season is almost here as Tollywood patrons are bracing up for a host of new films that are gearing up for release. One of the prominent titles on the list of upcoming releases is Tillu Square which is releasing in theaters on 29th March amidst good anticipation.

Yesterday’s new release, Om Bheem Bush got a thumbs up from comedy lovers and critics, but the collections are not on par. Whatever box office returns the film can harvest can yield must be done in the first week itself as Tillu is arriving in theaters next week.

Tillu Square, being a sequel to a super comedy film, DJ Tillu is reportedly carrying 30 – 35 Cr in theatrical business according to the internal talk. Realistically speaking, this is above and beyond Siddhu’s current market, but being a sequel and posing to be a hilarious entertainer, Tillu Square has attracted big offers from buyers who are ready to risk it. The producer also appears to be confident of the content and we hear that theater agreements in major screens are done for 4 full weeks, which usually happens only when the makers see the film as a sure-shot winner. Even, In Overseas Tillu Square carrying good buzz.

After the Sankranthi rush with Hanuman and Guntur Kaaram, no film could bring audiences to cinema halls in huge numbers. There were box office hits sparingly over the two month period but there was no real blockbuster that brought the audience in big numbers. This is where Tillu Square is expected to deliver, seeming to be a packaged summer entertainer.

Though Tillu has to contend with Vijay Deverakonda’s Family Star from its second week, a hit talk will boost the film beyond any competition or doubt. The insider talk is that Tillu has many entertaining and hilarious blocks that can attract the audience. The run time is also going to be crisp, we hear. The film is simultaneously releasing with insignificant completion from Hollywood’s new Godzilla movie and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Goat Life. All Tillu needs now is a hit talk to go berserk at the box office.
