Manchu Vishnu Plans A Mega Event For Tollywood

Actor-producer Manchu Vishnu had won the Movie Artiste Association’s (MAA) Presidential election in a tough battle a couple of years ago. In his poll campaign, along with several other promises, Vishnu had also vowed to construct a building for the association. While Vishnu has succeeded in fulfilling some of his poll promises, he is yet to fulfill the association’s long-cherished dream of owning a building.

On the other hand, Vishnu is yet to organise huge events to generate funds for MAA. Even though plans were made to organise fundraisers on a couple of occasions in these 2 years, they couldn’t fructify till date. Now, Vishnu has just announced an ambitious fundraiser this July in Malaysia. Vishnu today announced that the event has been named as ‘Navatihi’, and it will showcase Telugu film industry’s 90 year rich legacy to the world.

“We had planned to organise the Navatihi event 2 years ago, but it kept postponing due to various reasons. Events like this were held even in the past, and the then MAA committee members had raised decent funds through those events. By organising Navatihi in Malaysia, we are planning to raise huge funds like never before. We will soon consult with the industry bigwigs and announce the event dates,” Vishnu said at a media interaction earlier today.

Vishnu also said that Tollywood is currently going through a golden period. “Megastar Chiranjeevi garu was recently honoured with the Padma Bhushan, Keeravani garu had won the prestigious Oscar, Allu Arjun had won the National Award for Best Actor, Prabhas is the highest paid actor in India and the Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli film is going to be the biggest in all of Asia. We felt it’s the right time to organise the Navatihi event amidst such a glorious phase,” Vishnu added.
