The South Superstars’ Movie Fest Begins This May

It’s been four months into 2024 and there are hardly any big movies and blockbusters. The Sankranthi season in Telugu ended up with mediocre films except for HanuMan and movies like Tillu Square and Gaami have done well so far. Now there is a big lineup of South Indian superstars with long awaited movies set for release.

Pan India superstar Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD is set for release in June. The movie carries heavy expectations being the sci-fi thriller in Nag Ashwin’s direction and the stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone.

Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 is also releasing in June. It is coming as the sequel to the yesteryear sensation Indian. The Shankar – Kamal Haasan combination Indian 2 is one of the most awaited films.

Mammootty’s Turbo is releasing in June. Vikram’s rustic period drama Thangalaan is coming out in May. Dulquer’s Lucky Baskhar is releasing in July.

One of the biggest blockbusters Pushpa is bringing the second part Pushpa The Rule this August. The glimpse that was released the other day left the fans in a trance.

Pawan Kalyan’s OG is set for release in September. The Sujeeth directional is a non remake film of Pawan Kalyan in recent times and the Hungry Cheetah teaser raised the expectations to sky high.

Vijay’s GOAT is set for an outing in September. NTR’s Devara in Joratala Siva’s direction will be released in October. Devara marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor and the action drama is expected to be a sensation.

Rajinikath’s Vettaiyan and Ajith Kumar’s Vidaa Muyarchi will be released in October. Ram Charan’s Game Changer in Shankar’s direction is planned for release in October or December.

Suriya’s period drama Kanguva and Balakrishna’s NBK109 are planned to be released in October or December. It looks like there is a feat ahead in 2024. It has to be seen how many of these superstar films live up to the expectations.
