Devara Talk: Not A Burden On NTR’s Shoulders!

Though Sithara Entertainment’s Naga Vamsi has other day denied that the posters and numbers doing rounds in the market in connection with the movie’s distribution rights are not true, and the makers of “Devara” haven’t given any official statement, an interesting discussion started following that. As a number, related to the theatrical rights of the film is being speculated, many have doubts if that number is easy to achieve. Here is an interesting insight.

Some reports indicated that the value of Global Star Jr NTR’s “Devara” theatrical rights will be around ₹120 crores, while some other sources are busy saying that the deal will be locked at ₹110 crores. Some movie lovers are of the opinion that it is not an easy task to beget ₹110+ crores share from the box office. That belief has no solid base, however. Earlier with “Aravinda Sametha” in 2018, the talented actor touched the ₹95 crore share mark easily by the end of the film’s full run at the box office. After that RRR has made Tarak reach to another new level, opening doors for him in other markets as well. At the same time, his market in Telugu states will naturally grow bigger as the audience is excitedly waiting for his next.

Though there is a bit of negativity owing to the previous dull show of director Koratala Siva, courtesy Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, surely NTR’s presence, the vintage setup and a terrific casting is clouding “Devara” with a resounding opening. If the film gets positive talk, that’s it, the rest will be history as NTR would easily bring that ₹110+ crores ‘share’ from Telugu states alone. So, the big theatrical-value is not even a burden on Young Tiger’s shoulders.
