After the success of the 90s, many other films and web series have been released banking on the “nostalgia” theme but failed to repeat the same magic. Now, Aha is coming up with its new original, Hometown, which is also banking on the same nostalgic theme. The teaser of this series was released today.
Sharing the trailer on its social media handles, Aha wrote, “The town where dreams began, where love was first felt, where friendships were forever. #Hometown premieres from April 4 on aha #HometownOnAha.” Going by the trailer, Hometown looks like an ultimate fun-filled adolescent nostalgic ride.
The story explores the lives of three friends in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Their innocence, curiosity about new things, first love and relationship with their parents are the core of this subject. The trailer is filled with genuinely funny moments. The actors are newcomers and add freshness to the setup. Rajeev Kanakala and Jhansi will be playing key roles. On the whole, it seems like Aha is coming up with a promising project in the form of Hometown.
Hometown is directed by Srikanth Palle. Naveen Medaram is the showrunner of the project. MNOP and Amogha Arts have jointly bankrolled the project. It is set for a worldwide premiere on Aha on April 4.
