For the last few weeks, it has been widely speculated that Icon Star Allu Arjun will team up with director Atlee for his next film. It was reported that it is going to be a mega-budget action epic, which features another hero in the lead role. Meanwhile, the movie has been facing severe hurdles even before it is confirmed.
According to the reports, Sun Pictures was supposed to bankroll the movie. The film needs a massive budget of around Rs. 600 crores. Apparently, Atlee himself has demanded a remuneration of Rs. 100 crores. It was heard that Sun Pictures was not ready to spend such a huge amount and remuneration on this project. Thus, it backed out.
Latest reports suggest that talks are going on with Dil Raju to come on board as producer. However, given the disastrous result of the pan-India film Game Changer, it is unsure whether Dil Raju will produce this film.
On the other side, it was rumoured that Siva Karthikeyan is being considered for another lead role in the film. But it seems that Allu Arjun is not interested in doing a multi-starrer project at this point, even if one of the characters is just an extended cameo. With multiple hurdles ahead, Atlee and Allu Arjun’s project is in a tough spot even before it hit the floors
