Talk of the Town: Adolescence on Netflix!

Netflix often throw surprises at the subscribers with some very interesting watches. The best part is that the word of mouth has always been the contributing factor to the success of the streaming giant and the content it offers. Now, the latest talk of the town is the mini series titled Adolescence.

The mini series is grabbing rave reviews from everyone including the filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap, Shekar Kapoor and Hansal Mehta. From gripping story-telling to the stellar performances, there are a lot of interesting elements in the mini-series that keep you hooked. The USP is that every episode has been presented in a single shot.

The series’ plot is centers around a crime investigation. The series begins with the arrest of 13-year-old Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper) for allegedly stabbing his female classmate, Katie, to death. Soon, his crime is proven, leaving the investigators to understand the motive behind the murder. Meanwhile, Jamie’s parents struggle to get their son out of prison while dealing with the revelations about Jamie as the case unravels.

In order to make the drama more intense, and immersive, the director Barantini decided to approach with the shoot of each episode in one continuous take. “Basically, that means we press record on the camera and we don’t press stop until the very end of the hour,” Barantini told Netflix.

Most of those who watched it already are calling it flawless. The mini-series was released last week and is doing amazing on the streaming giant.
