Hombale’s Mahavatar Universe, Will Prabhas Join?

Hombale Films, one of the most successful production houses in Indian cinema, continues to expand its creative horizons. After delivering massive hits like the KGF franchise and Salaar, the studio is now entering new territory with a massive animated series titled the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe.

Known for backing big stars and larger-than-life storytelling, Hombale’s latest announcement is both unique and ambitious. The Mahavatar series will explore mythological themes through high-quality animation, and the lineup spans across more than a decade.

Here’s the official release calendar:

— Mahavatar Narasimha – July 25, 2025

— Mahavatar Parshuram – 2027

— Mahavatar Raghunandan – 2029

— Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh – 2031

— Mahavatar Gokulananda – 2033

— Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 – 2035

— Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 – 2037

The production house has clarified that this ambitious animated universe will bring Indian mythological icons to life through cinematic storytelling. With seven major titles lined up, this is one of the most structured long-term content strategies Indian animation has ever seen.

Fans are now speculating whether Prabhas, who has signed a three-film deal with Hombale, could lend his voice or likeness to any of the characters. Although he is already working on Kalki 2898 AD, the makers of Mahavatar confirmed that their Kalki story is different and part of their own animated arc.

If Prabhas were to be involved, potential characters include Parshuram, Dhawkadhesh, or Gokulananda, since he already played Lord Rama in Adipurush, making a repeat as Raghunandan unlikely.

That said, Prabhas will first need to wrap up Salaar 2, after which any involvement in Mahavatar may be considered. On a related note, Hombale has also hinted at working with Hrithik Roshan, fueling more excitement about who might voice or represent these mythological heroes in animated form.

“The possibilities are ENDLESS, and we’re PUMPED to see our stories ROAR to life on screen. Buckle up for an EPIC cinematic ride,” the makers shared during the announcement.

With high-quality animation, mythological storytelling, and big names possibly attached, Mahavatar is shaping up to be a milestone in Indian animated entertainment.
