Actress Taapsee Pannu has revealed what she has faced in her career. Thappad actress admitted that she was a victim of misogyny in the industry and revealed how she dealt with it. Taapsee said she was once replaced in a film after the wife of the film’s hero did not want Taapsee. While Taapsee has not revealed who is the hero and his wife or in which industry she had come across it, she just said “once” she was replaced. This comes as a shocker. However, this is not all.
Taapsee further shared another such incident. She said an introduction scene of her in a film was changed by a hero as he did not want her to “dominate” him. She said the hero had put pressure on the director to change Taapsee’s introduction.
Taapsee said she was once asked to change her dialogue in a film while she was dubbing for her film and reasoned that the hero did not like Taapsee’s dialogue. She said she had refused to change her dialogue and she got shocked after the film’s release as the makers got a dubbing artiste and got it done without letting Taapsee know about it.
In yet another instance of hero’s domination, Taapsee was asked to cut down her remuneration to control the film’s budget after the film’s hero’s previous film did not fare well at the Box Office. She said she was shocked as the hero’s remuneration was not cut down whereas the heroine’s remuneration was cut down after the hero’s previous film was a flop. Taapsee said she has faced several such weird things in the film industry. She made these startling revelations in a candid interview to Filmfare.
