Will Dhurandhar Become a Threat to Avatar at the Indian Box Office?

Filmmaker James Cameron is all set to return with an exciting film titled Avatar: Fire and Ash. The third part from the Avatar franchise is set to impress the audiences big time. The film is scheduled for a grand release on the 19th of this month and the advance bookings are currently decent.

According to reports, the film will be screened in premium IMAX formats. The film’s prices for night shows for the 3D version are growing in cities lie Mumbai and Delhi. Having said that, over 1.3 million fans have expressed interest in the films on the booking sites. If the same number translates to actual ticket sales, it will be a record.

The film is yet to generate next-level buzz like its previous part, leading to mixed opinions in the trade regarding its opening day performance in India.

Currently, the box office is dominated by Durandhar, and the release of Avatar could change the dynamics entirely. However, the threat from Durandhar can not be ignored as it collected a nett of over 50 Cr rupees in India alone yesterday and the number could improve today.

Despite the duration, the audiences are showing interest to watch the film and it could pose a serious competition to Avatar.

‘Fire and Ash’ is the third instalment in the blockbuster franchise. It follows ‘Avatar’ and ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’. Th film will have a wide release in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on December 19.
