A reportedly leaked teaser for the Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Doomsday suggests Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers may return to the MCU through an alternate timeline hinted at in Avengers: Endgame. The news currently doing the rounds on social media is heightening the buzz around the biggie.
The leaked clip allegedly shows Rogers riding a bike in the distant past, entering a house, handling his Captain America suit, and holding a baby, with images also featuring Peggy Carter. It ends with the text, “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday.” Since it is not official yet, the speculation is bringing smiles on the faces of fans.
If the leaked clip turns out to be true, it will directly contradict Evans’ recent statement that he is “happily retired.” It could either be a planned surprise or something that has not been anticipated before. Moreover, it has been a tradition for the actors of the MCU to initially claim not to appear on screen but surprise the fans later.
